Welcome to our space!

Welcome to the Paddock Wood Community Centre, a vibrant and inclusive space designed to serve the residents of our town and the surrounding areas. Whether you are here to learn a new skill, stay active, meet friends for coffee, or host a special celebration, our modern facilities provide the perfect backdrop for community life to flourish.

Our Centre has been home to regular activities and events including dance classes, yoga, gymnastics, Taekwondo, baby sensory, music and choirs sessions as well as our annual Easter and Christmas Fairs . We pride ourselves on being accessible to all members of our community.

Paddock Wood Community Centre

A Modern Space Built for You

The Paddock Wood Community Centre was opened in 2023 as a direct response to the town’s growing need for a central gathering place. Located on the edge of the historic Memorial Field, the building represents a multi-million pound investment in the social infrastructure of Paddock Wood. It was designed from the ground up with a focus on accessibility and sustainability, ensuring that every member of our community, regardless of age or ability, can feel at home here.

The Centre is more than just a building; it is a hive for local activity. From the moment you arrive in our spacious car park, you will notice the seamless transition from your vehicle to the entrance, with all facilities situated on a single, step-free level. This design philosophy extends throughout the interior, where large windows offer stunning views of the surrounding greenery, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere that bridges the gap between our indoor spaces and the natural beauty of the Memorial Field.

What the Centre Offers

Our facilities are as diverse as the people who use them. There is a large, adaptable hall that can be used as one expansive space for grand events or be divided into three smaller halls for simultaneous activities. This flexibility allows us to host everything from high-energy dance classes and non-contact sports to intimate support groups and professional meetings.

Beyond the halls, the Centre is home to a dedicated community Coffee Shop, two tennis courts, and the Scalliwags Pre-School. We have worked hard to ensure that the Centre remains a hub for both organised groups and casual social interaction. Whether you are a parent who has just dropped off a child at nursery or a resident looking for a place to meet a friend, you can enjoy a home baked snack here, the Paddock Wood Community Centre is your space.
