Stay & Play sessions are for preschoolers plus their parents and carers.

Unfortunately we don't have the space or resources to be able to welcome to children 0-5 and to make sure that there is plenty of room to play, we have also introduced a limit of 40 children. This will be on a first come, first served basis.

£3 per child or £5 per family.

Childminders - £5 for 3 children + £1 for each additional child

2024 CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

Our coffee shop will also be open from 9:30am - 5pm with Christmas themed treats.

Alternatively application forms are on the noticeboard in the Community Centre.

PW Community Coffee Shop

Our community coffee shop is now open daily.

We are very grateful to have had one of our coffee machines donated to us by Primech Building Services. With this generous donation and the kind volunteers who give up their time to serve in the coffee shop, we are able to offer great tasting, affordable coffee and cakes. We have also started to make and sell bacon and sausage baps

Coffee

Our coffee beans are freshly ground and are always purchased from ethical, sustainable and charitable companies. We are currently using...

GRIND - A shoreditch company who support the reduction of coffee waste ending up in the ocean.

Cakes

Are purchased from local small business bakers Bakeaboo Bakes and Cakezilla.

We want to support our PW cake makers with regular orders.

Bacon and Sausages

Are purchased from the Paddock Wood Pomfret Butchers,  again in order to support a local business

General opening times

Monday - Saturday 9:30am -1:30pm

These times can be dependent on the availability of volunteers and staff. The more volunteers that we have for a 2 hour shift, the more hours we can offer coffee for! So sign up if you like to chat to our local residents!

NEWS

The Community Centre is now open to hire and classes are running.

The Tennis Courts are also open. Pay per play or join as an annual member. See the tennis page to book.

On Sunday 3rd September 2023, we held our official opening which was a great success! MP Greg Clarke delivered a memorable speech and officially opened the building. The day was well attended and a lot of residents signed up to new groups and classes.

We held our first Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 29th September 2023, with a huge amount of cake generously donated by the children of Paddock Wood Primary Academy and beautiful piano playing by students from Mascalls Academy. The morning great success and the community raised £434.11! We hope to hold another Coffee Morning again next year.

Our first Christmas Craft Fair held on Saturday 18th November, was a huge success and incredibly well attended, for which I are very grateful to our stall holders and shoppers. We plan to make this an annual event!

In December, in partnership with Mascalls Academy and Brookside Garden Centre, the Mascalls students hosted an afternoon tea for our residents. It was fantastic! The students made and served the food and entertained their guests with music, drama and dance. Again, we hope to support this event every year.

On 17th February we hosted a Valentine's Self Care Fundraising event. This event was held to raise funds for specialist hoist equipment to allow our users who are less mobile, to be able to join in with activities at the Community Centre. The evening focused on activities to look after the mind and soul.

On March 23rd 2024, we held our first Easter Hunt and Easter Craft Fair. It was as successful, if not more so than our first fair! 100 children participated in the Egg hunt despite the unexpected rain and hail storm! We definitely have some very hardy children (and parents) in PW.

We were pleased to be asked that the TW Literary Festival had asked us to be part of their event! We were joined by Peter Williamson who is the illustrator for The Stitch Head books.

Saturday 6th July - We hosted a Premier of the movie Frankenstein Legacy, starring our very own Paddock Wood Actor Philip Martin Brown. This event was raising money for Young Epilepsy with support rom The Star Inn at Matfield. All tickets were sold out and we raised £615!!

We have many exciting events planned so please keep an eye on the website for more information.
